The industry at a glance
Bangladesh is one of the world's largest apparel exporting nations, with a large and experienced manufacturing workforce, a broad network of garment factories spanning multiple product categories, and a growing base of LEED-certified, environmentally progressive facilities. See our Green Factory Leadership page for sourced LEED certification figures.

Sustainability certification
Bangladesh has one of the highest concentrations of LEED-certified garment factories in the world, across the Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels, alongside widespread effluent treatment plant (ETP) installation. Certification level is shown on each factory profile where the factory has declared one.
LEED levels shown on factory profiles are self-declared by the factory and are not independently verified by Bangladesh Apparel.
